About Radio VRR

VRR, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rumst, will be back on air from Friday, September 27, to Sunday, October 6. Following last year's success, we are broadcasting again during the Rumst annual fair.

VRR was founded in the early 80s and was very popular among the people of Rumst for three years. However, in 1983, we did not receive a broadcasting license and were forced to stop broadcasting, which was an emotional moment for many.

Plans for a reunion took shape in early 2023 when several veterans accidentally bumped into each other and immediately brought up many memories. After a constructive conversation with the mayor and alderperson, we were even more driven to revive the radio temporarily.

In the meantime, many of the veterans have been contacted, as well as a few new people. These driven and enthusiastic staff will do everything to ensure these nine days go smoothly.

Get ready for a diverse range of activities, from music to interviews and more. Every day, someone comes up with a new idea, so it promises to be an exhilarating and unpredictable experience!

The studio is set up in the old town hall, Markt 1 in Rumst. We start on Friday, September 27, at noon! Everyone who wants to experience the golden days of local radio once more is welcome, especially on October 5, the day of the fair.
